What is a semantic search?
Semantic search refers to a search method that focuses on understanding the meaning behind a query, in contrast to lexical search, which simply looks for exact matches or word variations without understanding the overall meaning of the query. Semantic searching finds more relevant results even when the query’s phrasing differs from the information in the documents. Semantic search is used in applications like recommendation engines and modern search engines to mimic human understanding of language.
What is a people search?
Our people search can be used to find opportunities relevant to matched researchers within your institution. Search by the researchers name to find opportunities that they have matched to. Find out more about how we match researchers to an opportunity.
